Maxwell Stephens’ client, a leading global asset manager, is recruiting a permanent Senior CAD Technician to work in the heart of London at its offices next to Liverpool Street Station.
Maxwell Stephens, the UK’s leading facilities management recruitment company, has been appointed by our client to find an experienced and diligent custodian who will maintain their CAD drawing library with updating and modification of these drawings a significant responsibility in this important role.
What you’ll be doing
Your primary duty will be to establish and manage an organised and systematic database of drawn material for the client’s business as a whole.
Also in this role, you’ll manage both the CAD hardware and software to make sure that they are both fit for purposes. You’ll control and manage the job register so that work is prioritised correctly and that customer expectations are met. The CAD service you will own and deliver to the client will be in line with both the changes within the business and in the services offered.
You’ll develop and implement drawing standardisation plans ensuring that CAD standards are maintained across the client’s business. You’ll also develop and control the resource management process with the aim of smooth workload scheduling (including prioritisation). As part of this, you’ll also seek to identify opportunities and make recommendations for increasing workflow efficiency.
You’ll prepare CAD drawings and amendments to CAD drawings principally for the Facilities team. You’ll communicate with all Global Offices to ensure CAD service and process are understood and utilised. To that end, you’ll provide training and training material to users and colleagues as required.
Your technical knowledge
You have advanced abilities in both technical and practical computer aided design with a proven and detailed knowledge of AutoCAD. You have previously used SharePoint as your major collaboration tool and have a deep understanding of drafting techniques and familiarly with MEP engineering.
Your technical experience
You have extensive experience in designing and drafting together with the implementation of drawing standardisation plans. You bring expertise in asset management, project management, space planning, FM (and FM software management), and the development of colleagues in the delivery of collaborative services.
A team player with experience in a similar role, you bring accuracy and attention to detail to all your roles. Capable of working well under pressure, you communicate excellently with all stakeholders and are very well organised.
You have a competent understanding of FM and experience with Help Desk and Move Coordination. You’re a professionally driven person who strives to perform excellently and to the standards required of you in any role.
You are very comfortable using the Internet for research and for obtaining information and can use the Microsoft Office suite to an expert level.
