Our client, a successful service provider, are seeking an experienced BMS Project Manager to join their team.

You would be reporting to the Life Cycle & FWP Lead complete Fire Risk Assessments (FRA’s) across the client estate and provide recommendations on remedial works required to ensure these are in line with current standards, statutory requirements and management processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the clients to define BMS projects.
  • Develop business cases for client gateway approval and to secure funding
  • Deliver projects, including:
  • Scheduling activities
  • Managing budgets
  • Controlling quality of deliverables
  • Facilitating meetings
  • Identifying and tracking benefits realised
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Managing specialist consultants and subcontractors
  • Working with and managing deliverables from the client’s other contractors
  • Being the client’s point of contact
  • Progress reporting and meetings
  • Potential projects with existing clients include:
  • Create an Intelligent Buildings Centre
  • Carry out a VPN Pilot
  • Run an Energy and Support Pilot
  • Management of BMS communications networks
  • Produce energy management plan
  • Produce ‘change of use’ guide for buildings
  • Update BMS design guide
  • Communication/education exercise to promote energy saving
  • Improve information management
  • Ensure “zero harm” approach to Health & Safety
  • Identify further opportunities for growth
  • Support FM Integrator team with programme delivery

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

Essential:

  • Relevant technical / engineering qualification, minimum HND level
  • At least 10 years’ project management experience
  • Be able to obtain appropriate security clearance
  • BEng in relevant discipline
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a BMS-related role
  • Experience of Trend BMS systems
  • Project management qualification

Experience & Skills:

  • Proven project manager
  • Experience of energy management would be beneficial
  • Experience of business process analysis would be beneficial
  • Autonomous worker
  • Familiar with working in collaborative environments
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good written skills in order to produce compelling business cases, to interpret/improve consultant’s documents and to produce reports
  • Good presentation and communication skills in order to engage with clients
  • Understanding of good HSE practices in the workplace
