We have been assigned by a service provider on behalf of the met police to recruit for a Temporary CAD Operative to join their team based in Sidcup, with regular travel to other client sites.

Historically passed or be able to pass the Met Police clearance process which can take up to 8 weeks and be available for the start date of 1st October 2021

Key Responsibilities

  • Updating and maintaining schematics reports while following client set policies and procedures
  • Mark-up physical changes to room layouts on provided multi-layered drawings using AutoCAD2016
  • Assign room description aligned to Uniclass Spaces descriptions
  • Refer to the latest MPS BIM Space Standards
  • Detail layered Business Groups against defined areas
  • Detail layered Department Groups against defined areas
  • If more than one department is in an area, allocate against identified workstations
  • Mark-up changes to Workstations, Lockers & Parking Bays
  • Record the type of floor covering in the detailed area
  • Identify the location of the following additional assets in layer format:
  • Fire ladders, fire exits, fire blankets, fire extinguishers, disabled refuge points, fireman lift
  • Individual Urinals, WC’s, Basins, Showers
  • Vehicle electrical charging points


Person Specification

  • The role is expected to be outside IR35 subject to an assessment and the limited company rate to the worker is between £26 and £28 per hours all hours worked.
  • Experience using AutoCAD 2016
  • Effective communicator both verbal and written to all levels with ability to produce accurate and timely reports
  • Worked within a previous role where he/she has had to accept responsibility for data accuracy within known remit
  • Working to strict deadlines
  • Flexible and proactive approach
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good client facing skills with the confidence to deal with people at all levels
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team
  • Good communication, numeracy and presentation skills
