Maxwell Stephens is recruiting on behalf of the client for the new role of maintenance manager who will be in charge of delivering an exceptional experience to all residents, guests, contractors and visitors through excellent managerial skills but also in a hands on manner.

You will be accountable for health and safety compliance, the management of all maintenance works within agreed budgets and to liaise with external contractors to ensure all the proactive and reactive maintenance is completed to make sure that you are delivering an amazing resident experience.

Your Responsibilities

You will manage the quality standards while implementing them to a high performing team who you will act as a role model for and promote continuous improvement by recognising and recommending improvements for operational efficiency an resident experience.

As part of the role you will manage budgets to ensure that the delivery of all maintenance works are done within agreed budgets without compromising on the high standards that the client expects.

You will be in control of the CAFM system which will see you deliver compliant and safe works and you will ensure that everyone is complying with health and safety policies and that audits are taking place. This means you need to have the ability to create risk assessments, methods statements and safe systems of work.

About you

You will be qualified and have experience in building maintenance and have IOSH Managing Safely level or an alternative and desirably you will have a NEBOSH qualification.

Your excellent interpersonal skills will ensure that you maintain a good relationship with external contractors, third party suppliers as well as all the customers.

You will be organised to effectively manage and prioritise workloads.

As well as all this you will be health and safety conscious and mindful of the impact your role will have.

This is a serious role but our client wants you to be willing to have a bit of fun and ensure that your team know you are a team player.

Key Information

  • Weekday hours are 9:00 -17:00
  • On call rota (point of contact) for emergencies
  • 1 in 3 Saturdays (7:00-15:30) but you will get a day in lieu for this.
