Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of a client with hundreds years’ experience in real estate for the role of Technical Services Manager.

In this post you will be responsible for managing the delivery of an effective and compliant service through in-house staff, suppliers and consultants.

You will manage a single building or group of buildings primarily focussing on hard services.

About You

For this role you would ideally have experience in management as well as extensive mechanical and electrical services knowledge.

You have a degree or equivalent qualification and are a member of a relevant professional body. As well as this, you have relevant membership of BIFM, IOSH and have a NEBOSH accredited National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.

You have a good understanding of commercial leases and the landlord and tenant relationship. As well as this, you have a good understanding of service charge budgets and accounting principles.

Your Responsibilities

In this role there are several key responsibilities.

You will monitor works conducted/service provided by suppliers whilst undertaking regular building inspections and completing reports ensuring effective, safe and compliant M&E related services are delivered.

You will maintain regular and effective communication with clients and tenants whilst preparing  management reports for a variety of stakeholders.

You will manage site based staff, ensuring all people related policies and procedures are followed such as finance, HR and Compliance. As well as this, you will ensure security and emergency procedures are robust and adhered to at all times, taking an active role in the event of emergency situations.

In this role you will be expected to work with a Sustainability Manager to ensure local environmental activities meet statutory obligations and retain industry standards.
