Interim Head of Estates and Facilities

Your Role

You provide a safe working environment that reduces risk and mitigates any potential liabilities to the organisation.

You will provide strategic leadership and effective management of the Estates and Facilities Department as well as managing and being accountable for the efficient and effective provision of comprehensive client centred services for estates planning, management and facility support activities.

You will be involved in a high level of autonomy and judgement whilst reporting to the Director of Finance and Central Services.

You will set up and manage contracts with suppliers for cleaning, security and building maintenance as well as project manage any building related projects.

Skills and Experience

You will have an advanced background in and knowledge of the fields of Estates, Facilities Management and major project development. You will be able to demonstrate working at this level.

You will have a membership of Institution of Occupational Health and Safety.

You will have very strong IT skills and the ability to respond appropriately to user demands and expectations.

You will have significant experience of having the ability to carry out high level strategic planning, leading and managing hard and soft services within a fixed budget in a complex building. You will also have experience of managing complex multi-sited organisations.

You will have a proven record of having a very strong focus on proactivity, positive solutions and continuous improvement.

You will have knowledge and understanding of charitable and volunteering organisations.
