Maxwell Stephens has been asked by the client to recruit on their behalf for a temporary Health and Safety Officer who will work with the current Health and Safety Officer to implement admin processes and work towards a Safety management system.
What you’ll be doing
As part of this role you will track the current processes and create ways to report on these. This will allow you to help in streamlining their processes where possible.
This role will see you update the clients H&S SharePoint pages, cataloguing risk assessments and all associated admin processes.
As part of this role you will build a library of inspections needed for the department across all sites.
You will use your organisational skills to create a periodic inspection time tables and chasing up lab managers and PI’s on outstanding matters.
You will review DSE assessments and provide advice on this.
Working with current H&S officer to hand over duties to Facilities Manager and team.
In this role you will attend H&S related meetings and feedback to H&S Committee.
For this role you will have experience working in a Health and Safety Officer role.
It would be excellent if this was in the higher education sector.
You are familiar with online risk assessment programmes.
You are rational in your thinking which will enable you to look at current processes and rationalise them.
As well as this, this will help with your mapping of processing using flow diagram processes/map.
This role will require you to be organised and prioritise your workload in a busy environment.
