Maxwell Stephens has been asked to recruit on behalf of the client for the role of Operations Engineer.
You are a key member of the team responsible for the operational activities, including planned and reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, preparing for events and functions.
You might be educated to a degree level in a relevant discipline, this is not essential.
You are able to manage a varied portfolio of work and adapt to changing circumstances and priortise workloads.
For this role you have excellent people management skills.
You are IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS office and CAD.
As well as all of this you are technically competent, with a holistic and logical approach to the maintenance and repair of traditional buildings.
As part of this role you will be responsible for the conservation, repair and maintenance of the built fabric, including the supervision of planned and reactive maintenance and projects from the annual works programme.
You will liaise closely with Property Section colleagues to ensure that work is appropriately co-ordinated, to minimise disruption, ensure best use of resources and ensure that work is carried out to the highest possible standards.
In this role you will use your people management skills to work closely with the team of Surveyors and Supervisors, to oversee works and drive the performance of consultants, contractors and the in-house team to ensure that works are completed on time, within budget and to the required specification and quality standards.
This role will see you ensure that works are procured in the most cost-effective manner in order to achieve excellent value for money.
