Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of an educational facility for an Operations and Facilities Manager role.

The Operations and Facilities Manager will efficiently and proactively oversee all aspects of operations at the facility.

Your Role

You will Work closely with the Head of Operations & Senior Management Team (SMT) to maintain, design and develop appropriate operations policies, reports, and transactions in support of the organisational strategy. You will act as line manager for staff, interns, team assistants and the technical support team.

You will be the contract and relationship manager for all supplier contracts relating to the operational function (including recruitment, selection and third-party advice).

You will propose and oversee undertaking of training related to H&S for all roles and take ownership of operations-related induction activities such as fire safety, access and security, manual handling, and workstation risk assessments.

You will work with relevant staff members to ensure responsibilities to prevent duties and necessary Safeguarding measures are observed, informed and updated when required. You will manage security and access to the premises with reference to insurance.

Skills and Experience

You will have demonstrable experience in a similar premises, facilities, or operations manager role. You will also have experience of management of data and IT systems and internal communication platforms and function, including telephones and associated infrastructure.

You will have a good working knowledge of filmmaking equipment. You will have knowledge and understanding of software licenses and platforms (e.g., post production software, Microsoft 365, H&S portals and other film related software).

You will have the ability to take on a high workload in a fast-paced environment as well as being able to multi-task and prioritise. You will demonstrate calmness under pressure.

You will be First Aid and Fire Marshall trained or willing to undertake the training.
