Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of a media firm for a Facilities Assistant role.

The Facilities Assistant will play an integral role ensuring the offices and services are sustainable, compliant and cost-effective.

Your Role

You will proactively report maintenance and Health & Safety as part of routine inspections. You will undertake various Health & Safety checks throughout the building including weekly floor walks reporting on slips, trips and hazards and any other Health & Safety issues.

You will procure goods and services in line with budget, to include stationery and office supplies, security consumables, keys, off-site archiving (non-exhaustive list)

You deliver quality mailroom services by meeting all appropriate SLA’s and deliver a consistent service which exceeds customer expectations.

You will contribute to the performance of the Facilities department and its ongoing continuous improvement. You will remain vigilant for security matters and supporting security policies through clear desk policy implementation, laptop security, spare key management.

You will support the Front of House team with meeting room requirement set ups by continuous and proactive engagement.

Skills and Experience

You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. You will have the ability to prioritise different tasks and sometimes conflicting demands either on own initiative or through manager’s support.

You will have a First Aid and Fire Warden qualification. You will have DSE assessment training experience. An IOSH is desirable.

You will have demonstrable management experience as well as leading the mailroom. You will have a strong eye for detail and strong customer service skills. Ability to innovate and consider improved ways of working.

You will have excellent IT skills with a good understanding of Outlook + Microsoft Office.
