Maxwell Stephens is delighted to have been asked to recruit on behalf of the client for the role of Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Officer, who will take on a 12 month contract.

You will provide professional, advice and support on Safety, Health and Environmental issues. While assisting the SHE Advisor and teams to embed a positive, responsive and legally compliant Health and Safety culture in line with Health and Safety policy and procedures.

About You

 You have a NEBOSH  or equivalent.

Alongside a knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety legalisation and best practice in areas including machinery safety, COSHH, First Aid and Fire Safety.

You also have a knowledge of Environmental legislation and practical experience of the implementation of waste management and carbon reduction strategies.

You are able to manage and priortise a heavy workload while still ensure you are retaining excellent customer service.

This is aided by your excellent interpersonal skills where you communicate clearly and persuasively.


Your Responsibilities

 In this role you will actively raise awareness of Health and Safety and Environmental issues by providing advice and assistance.

You will monitor compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures while ensuring that breaches are dealt with and take remedial action where necessary.

As well as this you will take part in Health and Safety audits and inspections, produce reports and follow up remedial actions.

You will assist in the development and maintenance of the Health and Safety Intranet System.

Furthering this you will assist in the organisation and delivery of Health and Safety training.

In this role you will liaise closely with teams to promote health and safety, as well as the carbon management plan.
