Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of the client for the role of Building Manager on an initial interim basis. You will be part of the site based Facilities management team who have responsibility for nearly 100 multi-tenanted properties across Central London. This role will be Monday-Friday, with 38.5 hours per week. The shift patterns will range between 7am-7pm with a requirement for weekend and out of hours working. 

About You

For this role you will have at least two years’ experience in facilities. This has aided you in gaining experience in customer service and liaising with clients and tenants.

As well as this you have experience in project management, report writing and building management.

As well as a good level of written and spoken English.

You are able to manage your time while making decisions.

For this you have a comprehensive and up to date knowledge of statutory regulations including fire safety and health and safety.

What You Will Be Doing

In this role you will ensure all the buildings are clean, secure, in good repair and compliance with statutory procedures (e.g. Health & Safety and Fire Precautions) are monitored and managed.

As well as this you will ensure that value for money is achieved and the quality of the service meets tenant’s requirements and expectations.

You will required to provide a working knowledge and ensure practical application of relevant statutory and other legalisation requirements.

You will also control costs wherever possible, especially those that are non-recoverable (e.g. those associated with vacant space) in line with approved budgets.

This role will also see you manage the day-to-day tenant relationship dealing with comments and complaints (avoiding escalation wherever possible) acting quickly and decisively across a broad range of issues, communicating in a timely and accurate way.
