Assistant Facilities Manager (1 Year Contract)

- Works in close co-operation with Property & Facilities Manchester and London
- To manage Building Services by providing a professional and high standard of building support and facilities service to both internal and external clients.
- To manage the planning, maintenance and repairs of all electrical and mechanical plant, including the co-ordination of moves and disaster recovery for Property & Facilities, in adherence to all applicable standards
- To budget, select, procure and manage the plant and other facilities for the office so that specific goals and targets are met ensuring best value and fitness for purpose
- To manage information reporting to the office to ensure the smooth, efficient and cost effective running of the site
- To pro-actively build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, customers and external agencies to reflect the values of the organization
- To lead and manage the Facilities team where applicable to ensure it works effectively together and in close co-operation with Property and Facilities colleagues in the UK to deliver a highly professional customer focused service.
Experience / Qualifications / Competencies
- It is essential the post-holder has good personal organisation; time management and the ability to prioritise
- It is essential the post-holder is a self-starter who can work and deliver unsupervised
- It is essential the post-holder has a client services approach
- It is essential the post-holder has contracts management experience
- It is essential the post-holder has experience in a similar role
- Direct building services-related training with working knowledge of a BMS and Auto CAD is preferable
- A member of the BIFM or similar qualification is preferable
- A high level of organizational skills and ability to think logically
- Methodical approach and attention to detail
- Strong sense of client service
- Interpersonal skills-ability to communicate with staff, contractors etc at all levels
- Discretion and tact when dealing with difficult callers or sensitive issues
- Ability to think quickly and adapt to new situations
