Maxwell Stephens, the UK’s leading facilities management recruitment company, has been given the responsibility by our client to find an experienced, talented, and enthusiastic Assistant Estate Manager to work in this vibrant and energetic part of Manchester.

A brand ambassador with an eye for detail and a can-do attitude

In your role, you’ll manage all operational support on your designated estates. This support includes facilities management, environmental, health & safety, and security. For health & safety and environmental responsibilities, you’re ultimately in charge. You’ll ensure strict compliance, maintaining the client’s records and online systems. Compliance of existing properties to legislation is also on your brief.

You’re the face and voice of our client for stakeholders. Working with the Estates Management team, you’ll ensure a positive image of the estates and promotion of the client’s brand and their reputation for excellence in development and property maintenance. A big part of your role is about adding value for occupiers by improving engagement and enhancing relationships. You’ll be on hand to support wider property management strategies too.

Financial matters will form a big part of your role. You’ll manage the asset register, capital expenditure, planned & reactive maintenance, and regulatory compliance across our client’s portfolio, including occupied office space. You’ll be the person who makes sure that when something needs doing, it’s spotted and taken care of in the right way.

You’ll work with key stakeholders, on-site clients and external consultants to ensure that the right management plans are in place and all PPM work is completed. When major works need doing on the site (sometimes ad-hoc, sometimes pop-up installations), you’re the go-to person for all parties involved.

You bring to the role strong financial management skills, including experience of service charge budget management. You have effectively and successfully managed various types of contractors across all core Facilities Management areas. Your previous roles have exposed you to events management and you thrived at that.

You’re able to implement H&S and environmental legislation and policies across a site. You have superlative time management skills. Add to that your personality which allows you to support and collaborate with all stakeholders on a site – development, operational, financial, tenants, and more.
